Today (11 Nov 06. Post written at 1246hrs...clicked the wrong button, oops!) is my first day back from the Encinitas Retreat. I went there from the 7th-10th (first time going). Basically just wanted to put in writing (typing) how wonderful it is there... It felt like home. :D

Happy Veteran's Day :-)

So happy :) you are well and had been to Encinitas Retreat! ...yes the same words came into my mind

the first time I opened the blue gate :"I'm at home! I'm at home!" ...my soul was singing.

Could you enter Master's Shrine?Did you hear any satsanga in the chapel? Did you enjoy your silence ?

...ok stop! ... I feel better only thinking of that place!

Did I enjoy the silence... 100%!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

My mind was blank going into the Hermitage. I wanted to say (mentally) so much but couldn't think of anything... Then I walked to Master's room and, while I was standing there, two instances (that I hold close to my heart) were brought to the front of my mind

The guided meditation in the Retreat Chapel was also wonderful and the guided meditation, for me, emphasied the walk through the Hermitage.

Thinking back to it... there was a main theme while I was there, as everything I was thinking was connected.

The Meditation Gardens... Simply Beautiful & just Wonderful.

It was the Retreat I had needed since high school. I went to Pacific Grove during summer break, for a week, in 98 & that felt like a retreat, but that was before SRF & this trip surpasses that by leaps & bounds

I looked up some photos via google of the Hermitage & now the Hermitage is my laptop wallpaper (& Lake Shrine Temple is my phone's wallpaper).

Now i'm going to work at making it so when I go on leave I go to one of the SRF Retreats. There is no better place, that I can think of, to go.

Okay now I have to stop as I could keep going!!! :D ...

I see you will be going to Ft. Huachucha. I was in Phx over Christmas. Apparently there is a retreat facility near Tuscon where the Phx Temple members are organizing a retreat (I believe the next one will be April 27 weekend - which before your May reassignment, tho.) There is a meditation grp in Sierra Vista, I understand. The nice thing about you next posting is that you are only a part day's drive to Eninitas :D . Mary

Hi SoulSoldier. Ft Huachuka is a great place for a devotee in the service :)

I wanted to add a little to DesertFlower's information.... There will be two retreats actually in southern AZ this year.

Tucson - Picture Rocks Rtreat: April 27th - 29th - Registration starts March 4th, limited occupancy of 50. You will be able to download the flier from the Phoenix Temple website at that time. (www.phoenixtemple.org)

Sky Island Retreat: September 29th - 9:00am - 3:00pm - hosted by the Sierra Vista Meditation Circle - limited to 44 people. Registration has begun - flyer available on the Phx Temple website.

And of course there is the SIerra Vista Meditation Circle. The ministers make visits there a few times a year. If you want contact info, pls let me know.
